FreshStart was founded by Riley Lufkin, a hands-on entrepreneur who saw an opportunity to make everyday living a little easier and more affordable. After graduating from Appalachian State University with a major in marketing and later working in marketing and sales, Riley wanted to build a business centered around trust, quality, and convenience. What started as a simple idea, helping families and renters get the appliances they need without breaking the bank, has grown into a service known for its dependability and personal touch.
 
 
Riley Lufkin’s Father Anthony Lufkin. With over 20 years of experience in the appliance industry as an engineer and manager for companies like Whirlpool, Haier, and Electrolux, has played an enormous role in helping Riley launch FreshStart Appliances. Thanks to Anthony’s mentorship, Riley learned how to properly inspect, repair, and maintain machines so customers always receive quality, tested appliances they can trust.
